Live music set by Salmon (Tokyo, Japan) meets live visuals by Max Hattler (UK) and Robert Seidel (Germany).

Salmon (Karmarouge Noir / Raum…musik / WC Recordings) aka Kenji Kikuchi started his electronic music career in 2004. Since then, he has developed a reputation as one of Japan’s most prolific and innovative minimal techno and click house music artist, releasing from such acclaimed labels as Germany’s “Karmarouge Noir” and “Raum…musik” as well as his own Tokyo label “WC Recordings.”

Salmon, Max Hattler and Robert Seidel, Yoshiki

Max Hattler and Robert Seidel are visual artists whose short films have been winning numerous awards in film festivals world-wide. Max was described by “Dazed and Confused” as one of the “world’s most exciting young animators”, while Robert was honored by SHIFT|DOTMOV festival for his “mesmerizing, beautiful and disturbing work”. They will collaborate with Salmon to create a live audio-visual performance exclusively for Minimal Tokyo 9.

Guest DJ: Yoshiki (op.disk, Torema Recordings) is a Tokyo-based DJ who plays cutting-edge minimal techno and minimal house in top clubs of Tokyo and Japan. He has a number of releases from op.disk and Tarema Recordings.

Salmon は2004年より東京で活動するエレクトロニックミュージックのプロデューサー。彼は日本で最も革新的で多才なミニマルテクノ、クリックハウスプロデューサーとして知られ、ドイツの「KarmarougeNoir」や「Raum…musik」といった有名なレーベルからレコードをリリース。また彼自身の レーベル「WCRecordings」からもリリースしている。

Max Hattler （イギリス)と Robert Seidel （ドイツ）は、世界中のフィルムフェスティバルにて数々の賞を受賞しているビジュアルアーティスト。Maxは雑誌「Dazed and Confused」にて「世界で最もエキサイティングな若手アニメーターのひとり」と賞され、RobertはSHIFT|DOTMOVフェスティバルにて、「美しく、魅惑的で、ドキッとさせられる作品」と賞されている。日本ツアーの一環として、今回Minimal Tokyo 9にて彼等とSalmonは初コラボレーションをし、ここでしか見られないオーディオ・ビジュアルライブを行う。
